About Indian works Association (IWWA)

To address the above issues, the IWWA is a voluntary organisation of professionals concerned with the water supply for domestic, industrial and agricultural uses, its treatment and disposal of waste water. IWWA focuses basically on the entire "Water cycle" encompassing the environmental, social, institutional and financing issues. Founded in 1968 with head-quarters at Mumbai, having 36 Centres spread across the country with a membership about 13000 professionals all over the country and abroad. At the international levels it has relations with other similar associations such as: International Water Association (IWA), American Water Works Association (AWWA) and Japan Water Works Association (JWWA).

IWWA Raipur Centre, Chhattisgarh is organizing the 57" IWWA Annual Convention during 10, 11 and 12'h" of January 2025, in Jainam Manas Bhawan Raipur Chhattisgarh.
Chhattisgarh, known as rice bowl and with a legacy of cultural heritage richness for its architectural, literary and culinary value, is one of the fastest-developing states in India. it has the third largest coal reserves in the country and provides electricity, coal, and steel to the rest of the nation. It also has the third largest forest cover in the country over 40% of the state covered by forests. It is claimed that Chhattisgarh takes its name from the 36 ancient forts (from chhattisgarh meaning thirty-six and garh meaning fort) in the area.
Raipur is the capital city of the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. It has exponential industrial growth and has become a major business hub in Central India. It is among the biggest producers of steel and iron in the country. There are about 200 steel rolling mills, 195 sponge iron plants, at least 6 steel plants, 60 plywood factories, 35 ferro-alloy plants and 500 agro-industries in the city. In addition, Raipur also has over 800 Rice milling plants

Technical Session

Technical sessions will include lectures and paper presentation by water and waste water experts. As IWWA's convention aims at bring solution to field issues, preference are given to papers based on field experience, case studies etc, We the organising center is making all effort in a meaningful manner to make the convention grand success and memorable one. this scale cannot happen without the technical and financial support from various water and waste water sector industries.

MATA KAUSHALYA TEMPLE

Mata Kaushalya temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Mata Kaushalya, mother of Lord Ram. It is the only temple in the world dedicated to Mata Kaushalya. It is located at Chandkhuri village around 27km away from Raipur in Chhattisgarh. The temple has the idol of Mata Kaushalya holding Lord Shri Ram in her lap. The temple is believed to have been constructed in the 8th century. The temple had been damaged and rebuilt many times. The temple is renovated recently. The idol of Lord Rama is established which is 51 feet high.

JUNGLE SAFARI

Nandanvan Zoo and Safari, is a zoological garden located in Nava Raipur at a distance of 35 km from Raipur Railway station and 15km from the Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur. Spread over an area of 800 acres, including a 125acre Zoo and 5 acres of Rescue and Rehabilitation centre. The safari provides maximum possible freedom to animals similar to their natural habitat and allows visitors in vehicle to enjoy wildlife at close proximity. The safari includes four safaris such as Herbivore safari, Bear safari, Tiger safari and Lion safari.

PURKHOTI MUKTANGAN

Purkhouti Muktangan, Naya Raipur is a 60-acre cultural and sculpture garden in Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. Established in 2006, it was inaugurated by former President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. It gives a glimpse of Chhattisgarh's rich culture. This place displays the habitat, artifacts, folk dances, food habits of the tribal of the State. It also gives an insight into the crafts and arts of tribal of Chhattisgarh. It has a blissful garden houses the life-like figures of tribal performance, different folk arts that provide a wonderful perspective on the vibrant treasures of the Indian state of Chhattisgarh.

CHAMPARAN

Champaran lies about 60km from the state capital of Raipur. It is famous because it is the birth place of Jagadguru shrimad Vallabhacharya Mahaprabhu. There are two temples dedicated to Shri Mahaprabhuji in Champaran. The first one is known as Prakatya Baithakji Mandir, The second Baithakji is Mool Prakatya that is normally known as Chhatti Baithak. In this temple seva is done by Goswami shri Vallabhlalji and Shri Raghunathlalji (Shri Pinky Bawa) of 5th house of Kamvan. Apart from this there is a Haveli temple dedicated to Shree Girirajji and Shree Balkrishnalalji.

MARINE DRIVE (TELIBANDHA LAKE)

The Marine Drive in Raipur is situated right in the heart of the city, along with the periphery of the immensely beautiful Telibandha Lake. The whole stretch has been meticulously planned and beautified by the government to attract tourists. The flag-pole that stands tall at the height of 269 feet, right in the middle of the lake, is India's fifth highest and has become symbolic of the spirit of Raipur, with its picturesque setting and tasteful decoration.

GIRODHPURIDHAM

Guru Ghasidas Jaitkham at Girodhpuri dham, is a 77 metre high tower used as a pilgrimage centre by the Satnamis. A jaitkham is a Satnami object of worship, and a symbol of their distinct sectarian identity, the tallest concrete structure in India. Visitors can climb the tower up to 65m taking the spiral stairs or elevators, a conference hall with a capacity to hold 2000 people. Charan Kund, sacred pond, is another pilgrimage site in the village Amrit Kund, a pond whose water is said to be sweet, is located a kilometre from the village.

CHITRAKOTE WATERFALL

The Chitrakote Falls is a natural waterfall on the Indravati River, located approximately 38 kilometres to the west of Jagdalpur, in. Bastar district of Chhattisgarh. The height of the falls is about 29 metres. It is the widest waterfall in India, reaching a width of nearly 300 metres during the monsoon season. Because of its width and its widespread horseshoe shape during the monsoon season, it is often called the "Niagara Falls of India".

RAVISHANKAR DAM

Ravi Shankar Dam is located in district Dhamtari. It is built across the Mahanadi River. It is the longest & largest dam in Chhattisgarh. This dam supplies year round irrigation, allowing farmers to harvest two crops per year and key water supplier of Bhilai Steel Plant and Drinking water to Raipur City. The dam also supplies 10 MW of hydro-electric power capacity. It is a popular tourist spot. The reservoir offers a lot of water sports, Virgin Islands and much more. Also known as Gangrel Dam, during monsoons becomes a must visit place with picturesque island and enriched flora and fauna.

SHAHEED VEER NARAYAN SINGH INTERNATIONAL CRICKET STADIUM

Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium is situated in sector-3 of nava Raipur, close to the Swami Vivekananda Airport and is 21 km away from Raipur. It is a 65,000-seater stadium, built with the facilities of a modern sports arena. This world's fifth-largest cricket stadium and the third-largest in India, hosted its first ever match in 2010. The Stadium is named after Veer Narayan Singh Binjhwar, a landlord from Sonakhan who spearheaded the 1857 wap-Indian independence Chhattisgarh
